Grace Prince

Research Assistant.

Grace Prince studied womenswear at Central Saint Martins, London. After graduating in 2015 she completed an apprenticeship in carpentry and gained experience in marble carving, furniture, and editorial set design. In 2017 she moved to Milan to work as the assistant designer to Vincenzo de Cotiis, working extensively with artisans at a range of ateliers across Italy.

In 2020 she joined the chair of Prof. Anne Holtrop as the research assistant for the design studio Material Gesture at the ETH Zurich. Prince maintains a practice of designing and making furniture pieces, working to contrive light juxtapositions of material and form, dedicated to the expression of much within the fewest possible compositional attempts.
